Frequently Asked Questions in Baldock
Who Do You Offer Counselling To?
Counselling is for everyone. I work with people who are 18 years old and above. You’re never too old to explore who you are or what’s bothering you. I see people who are 18 years old and I see people who are in their late 70s too.
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
I offer open-ended sessions, so it really is up to you how many sessions you have. We can have either weekly or fortnightly sessions. Some people have a handful of sessions; others choose longer-term therapy.
Can I Do A Mixture of Face-to-face and Online or Phone Sessions?
Yes, you can. I give 100% whichever format we decide upon.
Sessions
Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place once a week.
I offer therapy:
- in person
- online
- by telephone if appropriate
Fees are £65 per 50-minute session.
This fee applies to in-person, online and telephone sessions.
Important Information
Payments for face to face therapy can be made either in person by cash (no card facility available) or by BACS directly into my business bank account. Payments for telephone therapy are to be made by BACS.
Please enquire for payments through insurance.
Cancellation Policy: Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged. This is because you ‘rent’ me as your Therapist and the space and time we agree on is yours. I will not fill your allotted session time with anybody else, unless 2 sessions in a row are missed with no prior notice.
Your First Step Towards Counselling
If you’re considering trying counselling but aren’t yet ready to commit to regular weekly sessions, we can start with an initial assessment session so you can experience what counselling feels like. There’s no pressure or obligation to continue if you don’t wish to.
